Abel Moya, is our Finance Officer for FOL. He is a seasoned accountant and consultant with a wide experience in both public and corporate accounting. He holds a MSc. Management (Accounting) and BSc. in Accounting and Finance, both from Bridgewater State University, Massachusetts – USA

Abel has in the past worked for public accounting firms like PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Grant Thornton LLP in Boston, Massachusetts – USA, and KPMG Lilongwe, Malawi. In corporate accounting he worked for a number of companies and organizations some of which include, John Cruz Construction Company – USA, State Street Research – USA, ADL Ltd – Malawi, Malawi Institute of Management (Lecturer) – Malawi.

With his vast experience, he has developed a sense of passion and commitment over his work. FOL being a donor dependent organization, Abel understands the need to properly manage and safeguard all the financial resources made available to the organization for its operations. He has developed and continues to develop internal control systems that will earn FOL donor confidence and trust. Abel is also motivated with the compassion he has over vulnerable, voiceless or victimized persons. He is proud to be part of the team/organization that targets its services to such people.
