While in the southern region of Malawi, the FOL team visited Mulanje District Hospital where the One Stop Center is still under construction but the OSC team is there.

The FOL team met up with the medical team assigned to the OSC to share their experience, challenges and expectations. FOL carried out a training for lay trauma counselors in Mulanje who will be providing services at the OSC once construction is complete.

The day the team visited and were taken on tour, the OSC was undergoing final constructions like plumbing, electricity and seems to be making good progress. We hope and expect the OSC to be opened later this month or September. The OSC team is eager to start providing services at the newly constructed OSC. In the South there will be three (3) OSCs under UNICEF where FOL provides services; Mulanje, Zomba and Blantyre.
